We are excited to invite our growing WCPC community to participate in Tables for Nine, scheduled for the month of May. We will gather in groups of nine people for a pot-luck style meal, welcoming all to participate – singles, empty-nesters, young marrieds, retirees, and families with children – everyone will find a seat at the table.
When you register to host or attend a meal, WCPC will create the groups and provide hosts with contact information for their guests. Hosts will then coordinate the day and time in the month of May, and contact their guests with food assignments for the meal. You are welcome to list one friend to attend with you and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Meal Instructions
Each group will share a pot-luck meal that includes a main course, side dishes, dessert, and beverages. As a way to help us get to know one another, guests are encouraged to bring something connected to their personal story and/or their cultural background. Here are a few ways to think about your food selection. Consider the foods:
- from your family’s country of origin
- from the region you grew up in
- that are meaningful to your family
Around the Table
Plan to share the story with the group. Tell us how it connects to your personal story. Come ready to try new foods! Unless dietary restrictions prevent it, we hope everyone will try everything around the table, understanding that each is an opportunity to learn, grow and celebrate one another.
Sign up by Sunday, June 21st and see you around the table!
